CANCER THERAPY YOU SHOULD KNOW

Share post:

Cancer is the name given to a collection of related diseases. In many cancers, some of the human body cells divide without stopping and spread into surrounding tissues. Cancer can start almost anywhere in the human body, which comprises trillions of cells.

Regularly, human cells grow and divide to form new cells as the body needs them. When cells grow old or become damaged, they die, and new cells take their place. When cancer develops, however, this orderly process breaks down.

Cancerous tumors can be malignant, which means they can spread or invade nearby tissues, or benign tumors, which do not spread or invade nearby tissues and are not life-threatening as malignant tumours.

As cells become more and more abnormal, old or damaged cells survive when they should die, and new cells form when they are not needed.

These extra cells can divide without stopping and may form growths called tumors.

Many cancer cells form solid tumors, which are masses of tissue. Cancers of the blood, such as leukemia, generally do not form solid tumors.

There are several natural therapies for cancer treatment or cures. Many people have been cancer-free by choosing some of the right therapies offered only by well-experienced and qualified professionals of Natural Medicine.

Supplementation is one of the common protocols that are very important. Mineral deficiency amounts to almost 90% of chronic diseases which is why it is essential to supplement the body with minerals and vitamins.

The following minerals and vitamins have been found very useful in the management of cancer:

  • Selenium
  • Potassium
  • Magnesium
  • Zinc
  • Alpha-Lipoic acid
  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin E
  • Vitamin D

With good dietary protocols, we can derive most of the minerals listed above from food but in most cases, it is good to supplement them for the first few months.

In Cancer management, detoxification is usually the first approach, and it continues as the treatment proceeds. Removal of toxins from the system enhances absorption of nutrients from foods and other natural substances in herbs.

In Complementary and Alternative Medicine approaches to cancer management, no single therapy or protocol can work well without combinations of therapies or protocols.

Prevention of Angiogenesis

The formation of new blood vessels is called angiogenesis. It is a normal part of growth and healing. But it plays a role in several diseases, including cancer.

The tumour needs nutrients and oxygen to grow and spread. Human blood contains those ingredients. The tumour sends chemical signals that stimulate blood vessel growth and the blood vessels carry blood to the tumour.

Angiogenesis inhibitors, also called anti-angiogenic, are drugs that block angiogenesis. Blocking nutrients and oxygen from a tumour is one of the principal parts of treatment.

Traditionally, herbs are used for anticancer treatment and are anti-angiogenic. The herbs work through multiple interdependent processes. They have effects on gene expression, signal processing, and enzyme activities.

The challenge is that most people are not knowledgeable about their extraction mode, dosage, best sources to get them from, time to get the herbs, etc. Most of those herbs are used effectively in traditional medicine.

Nigeria Traditional Medicine and few other forms of traditional medicine, though not based on scientific evidence, are effective. How most of the herbal combinations and preparations work are still inexplicable but they work and most patients in Africa or

Nigeria are not interested in how a specific herb is going to work for them, they are only interested in getting well and if you do that; you are the best Doctor.

However, most Universities and scientists are now working with the local herbalists to carry out some research on their herbal remedies to see some scientific evidence for their efficacy and if not, it probably won’t be acceptable by the world.

The increase in cancer morbidity and mortality, as well as the high cost and adverse effects of the available cancer therapies, cause the need for the discovery of new and safe anticancer agents.

Many medicinal plants, which have served as sources of beneficial drugs, were revealed through an ethnobotanical survey.

Methods: The Snowball method was used to search and select the

participants which included herb sellers, traditional medical practitioners, and herbalists.

A structured questionnaire was used to obtain information, which included herbal recipes, dosage, and methods of preparation of the herbs. Relative frequency citation (RFC), family use value (FUV), and medicinal use-value (MUV) were calculated.

Results: A total number of 92 plant species belonging to 51 families were revealed. Citrus limon, Xylopia aethiopica, and Crotalaria pallida had the highest RCF of 0.25, 0.22, and 0.17, respectively, while the Family Leguminosae (10.99%) had the highest number of plants species. Three of the plants had the highest MUV of 0.12 while Bignoniaceae family had the highest FUV.

Various parts of the plants were used in preparing anticancer medicines

The major roles these herbs play is immunomodulating and antineoplastic effects on cancer cells.

As the number of people with cancer soars years after years, the need to get the right treatment is of utmost importance because cancer is a highly deadly disease.

Hopefully, there are several diligent practitioners with true cures. You just have to find one and with enough discipline on lifestyle modifications, results are guaranteed.
